About Cato Garden Farm

We’ve been transforming our garden since 1997 when we started with a large expanse of lawn and a single camellia bush in the backyard. The front yard had more lawn and some hydrangeas against the fence lines. The most impressive sight was a giant Cecile Brunner miniature rose at the side of the driveway - about 3-4 metres in diameter. Now we have a tangle of productive and ornamental plantings, feathered and furry occupants, and various projects underway! This blog is the new home of my garden notebook which used to be in paper-form. Our garden is a bit of garden, orchard, farm and mud-pie generator.
